Ready for another fantastic experience? This time, Native American Studies Professor Nia Gregory is bringing Dr. Amber Bill to share her wisdom and power through her presentation "What is the Purpose of Native Studies?"

Amber Bill is NorthernÌýPaiute and Te-Moak Western Shoshone and a member of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe. She is an Assistant Professor at Sacramento State University in the Ethnic Studies Department/Native American Studies Program. Dr. Bill currently serves on the California Department of Education's American Indian Education Oversight Committee.

This important presentation will focus on the foundations of American Indian/Native American Studies as an academic discipline and an essential componentÌýof Ethnic Studies, and how Native Studies practitioners continue to strategize and strengthen pathways to Indigenize the Academy. Ìý
