Scholarship Essay Policy – Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

At ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ, we believe scholarships should reflect the authentic voice and unique experiences of our students. To ensure a fair and honest review process, we have established the following policy regarding the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in scholarship essay submissions.

AI Use is Strictly Prohibited

The use of AI tools—including, but not limited to, ChatGPT, Jasper, Grammarly GO, or any AI writing assistant—is strictly prohibited when writing, editing, or generating scholarship essays.

Essays must be written entirely by you, the applicant. We want to hear your story, in your words.

What Happens If You Use AI?

  • Any essay determined to be generated by AI will be disqualified from the scholarship review process.
  • Students who violate this policy will be referred to AVP Dalske in the Office of Student Conduct for further action under the Student Code of Conduct.

Why This Matters

Scholarships are awarded based on the merit, voice, and authenticity of our students. Using AI not only undermines this process—it violates the trust and integrity that our campus community depends on.

By Submitting Your Essay, You Agree:

  • That the work you submit is your own.
  • That you understand using AI will result in disqualification and possible disciplinary action.

We encourage you to reach out to the Writing Success Center or Financial Aid Office if you need support with your essay. Help is available—and we’re here to champion your voice, not replace it.

Stay true. Stay original. You’ve got this.
